This web site is designed as a forum of interdisciplinary communication focused on water in the past, polar, oceanic, atmospheric or terrestrial.
The natural causes and societal-ecological implications of water resources fluctuations in the past, the evolution of hydraulic technology and water management methods, cult of and philosophical considerations on water and all aspects of water in the Earth System are included in the subjects of our forum.
Water is studied in this Website as the alter ego of life, sensitive to climate variability, critical for the distribution of living species on earth, the fundamental agent of ecology and evolution.
This site is meant to be reader friendly addressed to knowledgeable people who wish to be briefly but accurately informed on the current developments on the various aspects of water by specialists by means of short literature reviews.
Articles with no more than 2,500 to 3,000 words are invited in any language in pdf files, provided that there is also an extended summary in English.
The motivation of this initiative came from my collaboration with distinguished researchers with whom I collaborated on publishing a book with the title “Climate Changes in the Holocene: Impacts and Human Adaptation” that will be released soon.
